WOODSTOCK: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday (Jul 18) known as for Europe to remain united in help of Kyiv as he arrived for a summit in Britain with leaders from across the continent.
“For us it is essential to keep up unity in Europe as a result of all the time this unity results in sturdy selections,” Zelenskyy stated forward of the assembly.
The Ukrainian chief will sit down for talks with round 45 leaders for the European Political Group summit on the grandiose Blenheim Palace close to Oxford.
The gathering comes at what Zelenskyy described as a “tough period” for Ukraine in its war against Russia’s invading forces.
Past the summit, Zelenskyy stated he would maintain separate talks with Britain’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer and meet King Charles III.
“We are going to signal an intergovernmental settlement on help for the Ukrainian defence and industrial advanced, talk about future defence cooperation, and increase our defence capabilities,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.
