Two wooden retailers, recognized as Ahohe Seido and Dogbon, are lacking after a torrential storm capsised the boat they have been travelling on within the Gbòde Jedo River, situated in Odofin, Ipokia Native Authorities Space of Ogun State.

Odutola stated, “A report of a tragic incident was filed on the Ipokia Division on September 12, 2024, round 7:00 a.m. Two people, Awhanse Jimoh (male) and Ahohe Jimoh (male), each wooden retailers from Ilepa Village in Ipokia, reported the incident to the Divisional Police Officer.
“As per their account, two different people, Ahohe Seido and one other identified solely by the alias Dogbon, have been transporting firewood alongside the Gbodo Jego River in Ijofin, Ipokia, Ogun State, en path to Benin Republic to promote the products.
“Whereas crossing the river, a sudden robust present induced their boat to capsize, throwing everybody onboard into the water. Regardless of rescue efforts, solely two people have been saved and delivered to shore.
“Tragically, Ahohe Seido and Dogbon didn’t survive the incident, and regardless of intensive search efforts by divers, their our bodies have but to be recovered.”
Odutola famous that neighborhood divers are actively concerned within the ongoing search and rescue operations to find the lacking people.
“An investigation has been initiated to verify the small print of the boat accident and confirm the statements given by the 2 survivors.
“The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, is conscious of the incident and hopes for the protected restoration of the lacking individuals. He has famous that with the return of the rains, it’s advisable to put on life jackets to mitigate the dangers related to such hazards,” she added.
