The Senate of the College of Abuja has appointed the youngest professor of Regulation within the establishment, Aisha Maikudi, in performing capability as vice-chancellor.
Maikudi, a professor of Worldwide Regulation, is the present Deputy Vice Chancellor, Lecturers on the establishment.
Her appointment adopted her nomination on the valedictory Senate assembly held on Wednesday, in accordance with a press release by the outgoing VC, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah.
He famous that Maikudi’s appointment was in an performing capability, efficient after his tenure because the vice-chancellor, pending the ratification by the governing council.
Na’Allah rounds off his tenure on June 30, 2024, after a five-year management on the establishment.
In her acceptance speech, Maikudi expressed gratitude to members of the Senate for the arrogance reposed in her.
She stated, “I wish to lengthen my deepest respect and appreciation to you all for the robust help and the unwavering dedication that you’ve accorded me.”
Maikudi was born on January 31, 1983. She attended Queens School, Lagos, the place she obtained her West African Senior Faculty Certificates Examination.
She then proceeded to the College of Studying, United Kingdom, graduating with an LLB in 2004 and an LLM from the London Faculty of Economics & Political Science in 2005.
She bagged PhD in Worldwide Regulation in 2015 from the College of Abuja.
Maikudi joined the service of the College of Abuja on September 4, 2008, as Lecturer II and rose to the rank of professor in 2022.
She grew to become the primary feminine Deputy Dean on the School of Regulation of the establishment in 2018 and; later, the pioneer Director, College of Abuja Worldwide Centre in 2019.
Maikudi attended a number of nationwide and worldwide conferences within the UK, United States, South Africa, Germany, Italy, and Egypt, amongst others. She has additionally carried out a number of researches on United Nations Regulation and has written extensively.
