President Bola Tinubu has conferred Nigeria’s second-highest nationwide honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tinubu made the announcement throughout a bilateral assembly with the Indian chief on the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President said that the honour was “to suggest our appreciation of India as Nigeria’s accomplice.”
Modi, who arrived in Abuja on Saturday night, was acquired on the forecourt of the Villa at round 10:20 a.m. on Sunday.
