SYDNEY: A small seaplane ferrying European vacationers plunged into the ocean off Western Australia, killing three folks on board, authorities mentioned on Wednesday (Jan 8).
The aircraft crashed on Tuesday night because it left Rottnest Island, a vacationer drawcard well-known for its pleasant marsupials known as quokkas.
As search groups fished the wreckage from the ocean on Wednesday, state Premier Roger Cook dinner confirmed three folks had died and 4 others survived.
Among the many victims have been a 65-year-old lady from Switzerland, a 60-year-old man from Denmark and the 34-year-old native pilot.
A 63-year-old Swiss man was rescued alongside a 58-year-old Danish lady and an Australian couple of their 60s.
