The Nigerian Training Mortgage Fund on Friday stated it acquired a N2 million refund from a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former beneficiary of the defunct Federal Authorities Pupil Mortgage Scheme within the Nineteen Seventies, Adegboyega Awomolo.
Based on an announcement launched by the Fund which was signed by its Directorate of Company Communications, Awomolo, who used the mortgage to finish his regulation diploma on the College of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo College), Ile-Ife, Osun State; expressed gratitude for the chance, and counseled NELFUND’s transparency and accountability in managing pupil loans.
This reimbursement is the second in latest weeks, following a N3,189,000 refund by former lawmaker, Lanre Laoshe.
The Funds, in response to the assertion, will likely be used to assist present college students in want of monetary help.
“The Nigerian Training Mortgage Fund is happy to announce the receipt of the sum of N2,000,000 (two million naira) by means of a financial institution draft, given by Asiwaju Adegboyega Solomon Awomolo, SAN, a distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former beneficiary, within the Nineteen Seventies, of the defunct Federal Authorities Pupil Mortgage Scheme.
“Mr Awomolo, who benefitted from the mortgage throughout his undergraduate research on the College of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo College) within the 1975/1976 and 1976/1977 educational classes, has demonstrated his unwavering dedication to the nation by repaying the mortgage in full.”
