Toronto police on Tuesday (Aug 6) detonated what they stated was a “hoax system” at a satellite tv for pc campus of the College of Toronto that they’d earlier described as an explosive system.
Dan Pravica with the Toronto Police instructed reporters {that a} distant robotic was despatched in to X-ray a suspicious bundle contained in the Environmental Sciences and Chemistry constructing on the College of Toronto Scarborough.
Primarily based on the photographs officers noticed, they believed the bundle contained an explosive.
The bundle was then safely detonated by police. Upon inspection, it was decided that no explosive system was contained contained in the bundle, which had first been discovered by campus safety.
Police earlier confirmed in an e mail to Reuters that the bundle contained an explosive system.
