The Nigerian Meteorological Company has predicted thunderstorms and rains from Monday to Wednesday throughout the nation.
NiMet climate outlook launched on Sunday in Abuja forecasts morning thunderstorms on Monday over elements of Kebbi, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Taraba and Kaduna states.
It anticipated thunderstorms over elements of Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Yobe, and Jigawa states later within the day.
“Within the North Central area, rains are anticipated over elements of the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara and Niger states throughout the morning hours.
“Whereas later within the day, thunderstorms and rains are anticipated over elements of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi and Benue states.

NiMet urged the general public to take ample precautions as robust winds could precede the rains in areas the place thunderstorms are prone to happen.
