Former Consultant and Lawyer Common Nominee Matt Gaetz teased a potential run for Florida Governor.
Gaetz, who withdrew his title for the AG nomination final week, took to X on Saturday night to trace he may run for Florida Governor within the foreseeable future.
Hypothesis that Gaetz might run arose after he responded to a put up on X from Anthony Sabatini, the County Commissioner of Lake County, Florida.
Sabatini wrote, “Matt Gaetz would be the subsequent Governor of the State of Florida.”
In response to Sabatini, Gaetz posted a GIF of Florida’s flag.

Governor Ron DeSantis’s time period will finish in 2026, and as a consequence of Florida regulation, he might be ineligible to run for a 3rd time period.
Per Mediaite:
Former legal professional normal nominee and former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz floated the concept that he may run to be the following governor of Florida in 2026, after resigning from workplace and withdrawing his title from nomination this month.
Gaetz resigned from workplace after being nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to guide the Division of Justice. Nevertheless, after receiving pushback from a number of senators on Capitol Hill, Gaetz withdrew his title from nomination after Trump advised him he didn’t have the votes to be confirmed.
Following his resignation, Gaetz revealed that he doesn’t plan to return to Congress regardless of being reelected for an additional time period through the 2024 election.
Gaetz “would be the subsequent Governor of the State of Florida,” wrote former Florida Home Rep. Anthony Sabatini in a put up on X. Gaetz then responded to the put up by sending a GIF of the Florida state flag, suggesting he’s open to the concept.
