Officers of the Lagos State Environmental and Particular Offences Taskforce, on Thursday, dislodged merchants and confiscated illegally displayed items on the Ikotun BRT bus station.
The state Commissioner for the Ministry of Atmosphere and Water Assets, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in an announcement on Friday.
He famous that numerous items and gadgets unlawfully displayed by distributors on the bus station and its surrounding areas had been seized by the taskforce.
He wrote, “The Lagos State Environmental and Particular Offences Taskforce yesterday monitored compliance and carried out enforcement on the Ikotun BRT bus station, which has been illegally taken over by avenue distributors for business functions.
“All gadgets and wares displayed on the unauthorised location had been seized, and the bus station and its environment had been sanitised of the menace brought on by the actions of distributors who had transformed the bus station and public street right into a business hub.”
Wahab added that 9 suspects had been apprehended throughout the operation and shall be charged in court docket accordingly.
