Talking to reporters in Basta, accompanied by two Hezbollah lawmakers, Ghalibaf denounced what he known as Israel’s “crimes”.
“Worldwide organisations and the UN Safety Council have the potential (to cease Israel) however they’re sadly retaining silent,” he stated.
Earlier Saturday, Ghalibaf met Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who instructed him his authorities’s precedence was “to work in the direction of a ceasefire”, Lebanon’s official Nationwide Information Company (NNA) stated.
Mikati had on Friday urged the United Nations to pass a resolution calling for an “fast” ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
Ghalibaf instructed reporters after assembly his counterpart Nabih Berri, a key Hezbollah ally, that Iran “will definitely assist the choices of the Lebanese authorities, the Lebanese individuals, and the resistance (Hezbollah) on this interval”.
