DUBAI: Palestinian militant group Hamas mentioned on Wednesday (Dec 25) that Israel has set new situations which have led to delays in reaching a Gaza ceasefire settlement.
Hamas mentioned, nevertheless, that it was displaying flexibility and that the talks on a ceasefire, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are moving into a severe path.
“The occupation has set new situations associated to withdrawal, ceasefire, prisoners, and the return of the displaced, which has delayed reaching the settlement that was out there,” Hamas mentioned.
An Israeli negotiation staff returned to Israel from Qatar on Tuesday night for “inside consultations” relating to a hostage deal after a major week of talks about Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s workplace mentioned on Tuesday.
