I noticed a racoon in our entrance yard this afternoon. My guess is that it was too scared to forage in the course of the night time due to the sound of fireworks. Our canine shakes and refuses to go exterior to alleviate herself when fireworks are going off, even within the distance.
I grew up out of the country the place the emphasis was on the great thing about fireworks with out the acute explosive options.
I perceive that the native fireworks carry cash to communities, and that the loud ones are a part of the American leisure tradition. Nonetheless, it’s plain that the loud fireworks trigger misery to our wildlife and pets, with whom we share this planet.
I applaud Bainbridge Island for banning them.
