The Federal Authorities has counseled the Republic of Ghana for reconstructing and formally handing over a property belonging to the Nigeria Excessive Fee in Accra.
In line with an announcement signed by the appearing spokesperson for the Ministry of Overseas Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the ceremony occurred on Wednesday.
The constructing, a block of four-bedroom flats, was demolished in 2020 by Ghanaian authorities, an act that was strongly condemned by FG.
Following high-level diplomatic engagements, the Authorities of Ghana pledged to rebuild the property, a promise that has now been fulfilled.
The keys to the newly reconstructed constructing had been handed over by Ghana’s Minister of Overseas Affairs and Regional Integration, Mrs. Shirley Botchway.
Representing Nigeria on the occasion was the Director of the Overseas Service Academy, Lagos, Ambassador Chimezie Ogu, who obtained the property on behalf of FG.
