On July 16, the European Union marked a milestone with the inauguration of newly constructed amenities on the Basic Dhagabadan Coaching Heart (GDTC) in Somalia. This vital occasion was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Authorities of Somalia, H.E. Salah Jama, alongside the EU Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Karin Johansson, the EUTM Drive Commander, Basic Giuseppe Zizzari, and a visiting delegation from the Brussels HQ.
Below the European Peace Facility (EPF), the European Union has been offering substantial help to the Somali Nationwide Military (SNA), delivering automobiles, vans, fight gear, and life-saving supplies. Moreover, the EPF has contributed to the development of the coaching facility itself. So far, the EU has dedicated 110 million EUR to help the SNA.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama highlighted the importance of this growth, stating, “It’s essential to have a coaching facility on this nation. The Basic Dhagabadan army coaching facility is an important facility for coaching SNA personnel. We’re happy that the EU has performed a pivotal function in supporting Somalia.”
EU Ambassador Karin Johansson reiterated the EU’s dedication, saying, “The EU is, and stays, dedicated to aiding the Federal Authorities on this highway forward.”
