The European Union has determined to not renew its fishing settlement with Dakar, citing issues over the proliferation of unlawful fishing within the Senegalese waters. The choice, introduced by the EU delegation in Senegal, emphasised issues over Dakar’s management of each native and overseas vessels, particularly these based mostly within the capital. The EU had earlier criticized Senegal for not doing sufficient to regulate the unlawful fishing happening inside its waters.
