The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee has introduced the arrest of 35 suspected web fraudsters in Aba, Abia State.
This was revealed in a press release shared on X.com (previously Twitter) on Wednesday.
In line with the EFCC, the suspects, 34 males and one feminine, had been apprehended in an early morning sting operation.
Objects recovered from the suspects embody 48 refined cellphones, 9 laptops, three unique vehicles, a wristwatch, and a global passport.
The assertion mentioned, “The Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, arrested thirty-five (35) suspected web fraudsters, comprising thirty-four male suspects and one feminine.
“They had been arrested in an early morning sting operation in Aba, Abia State.
“The arrested suspects are: Emmanuel James, Ukaomo Jefferson, Felix Onyema, Daniel Chimaobi, Chukwuemeka John, Prince Ogbonna, Charles Daniel, Emmanuel Igboanugo, Eric Uke, Emmanuel Ogechukwu, Chibuike Prosper, Obi Victor, Emmanuel Onwuchekwa, Worth Kingsley, Uchechi Awo, Chinonso Callistus, Edward Knowledge, Ejiogu Justice, Treasured Edward, Moses Meshael, and Kalu Victor.
Others embody: Ujoatu Goodluck, Ikeh Sochima, Obinna Prosper, Onyekachi Christian, Christopher Chris, Treasured Sensible, Clinton Ifeanyi, Daniel Obuzoma, Chukwuebuka Promise, Cjay Ekeamaka, Ejiogu Worth, David Favour, Okechukwu Emmanuel, and Nwigwe Pleasure.
