The Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, has deployed personnel to assist the Edo State Command and different safety companies in offering safety for the voters in addition to officers participating within the Edo State Governorship election on Saturday.
In a press assertion on Friday, the Head of Media and Tactical Ops, NSCDC Anambra State Command, Okadigbo Edwin, stated that the deployment is according to the directive of the Commandant-Basic, Dr Ahmed Audi.
He stated, “The State Commandant of Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Olatunde Maku, stated the deployment is according to the directive of the Commandant Basic, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
“Debriefing the personnel, Maku emphasised the significance of neutrality and professionalism throughout the election.
“I have to warn that your function in Edo State is to make sure a peaceable train. Don’t compromise on the sphere, be clear, however agency in discharging your duties.
“You’re to function throughout the code of conduct. Have it behind your thoughts that any act that would carry the Corps to disrepute wouldn’t be tolerated.”
