The consensus amongst many social media customers after Sunday’s broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys-Cleveland Browns recreation on Fox was that Tom Brady had some work to do to be nearly as good of a broadcaster as he was a quarterback.
Although he’s since walked his feedback again, Scott Hanson of “NFL RedZone” was amongst Brady’s largest critics, as have been a number of different well-known individuals in NFL circles, together with The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand and Sports activities Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina.
However surprisingly, somebody who was a fan of Brady’s debut was his former head coach, Invoice Belichick, who gave Brady robust opinions on a latest episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast.
“I assumed Tom was nice,” Belichick said. “I believe that he had quite a bit higher day when Dallas went to Cleveland than I had in my first recreation in Cleveland when Dallas got here in … I assumed Tom did nice. I assumed he introduced up a variety of nice factors within the recreation. Actually the variety of instances Cleveland went backwards, he continued to focus on.”
Whereas Brady appeared to seem extra snug as Sunday’s recreation went on, few would argue it began out a bit tough. To make issues worse, Fox demoted Greg Olsen to the No. 2 analyst function to make room for Brady — a call that was met with hostility given how good Olsen is at his job.
