The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, has ordered the troops of 17 Brigade Katsina to finish the lingering insecurity bedevilling Katsina State, saying President Bola Tinubu “is able to provide all the things” wanted to remove insecurity.
The minister gave the order whereas addressing newsmen on the Katsina – Zamfara States border city, Gurbin Baure within the Jibia Native Authorities space of Katsina State on Friday whereas addressing troops on the 17 brigade.
Our Correspondent in Katsina State who was among the many 17 Brigade Katsina entourage experiences that the defence minister was within the state to entry and obtain briefings on the continuing army onslaught towards banditry.
Earlier, Abubakar advised the troops that President Bola Tinubu was happy with the progress made by the troops in combating banditry over the previous few months.
He stated President Bola Tinubu has recognised the development within the onslaught operation towards banditry within the state up to now.
“President Tinubu has requested me to thanks and to additionally encourage you to do extra in ending insecurity in these operational areas.
“He is able to provide all the things it’s worthwhile to remove insecurity.
“Are you prepared to complete them off? Are you prepared to finish banditry? Quickly?” he requested.
The Minister chatting with newsmen stated “For the previous couple of months there was progress on daily basis and I consider that every one the states are cooperating in ending banditry within the North-West. We want a variety of assist from most people.
“I got here by street to evaluate our deployment there. Zaria-Gusau Street has been very infamous for kidnappers. We now have re-strategised and improved our deployment there and I’m impressed with what I see in ending constant assaults of motorists within the space.

The minister was accompanied by the Commander, Joint Process Pressure North-West Operation Fansar Yamma, Maj Gen Oluyinka Soyele and was obtained by the Commander 17 Brigade Katsina State, Brig. Gen. B.O Omopariola.
