The Minister of State for Petroleum Sources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has convened a high-level assembly with key stakeholders within the oil and gasoline sector to resolve the continuing points surrounding the Dangote Refinery.
The assembly, held on Monday, introduced collectively Chairman and CEO of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, Chief Government of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, Chief Government Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Fee, Gbenga Komolafe, and Group Chief Government Officer of the Nigerian Nationwide Petroleum Company Restricted, Mele Kyari.
This was contained in a press release launched on Monday by Lokpobiri’s Particular Adviser Media and Communication, Nneamaka Okafor.
“The assembly centered on discovering a sustainable and lasting resolution to the present deadlock affecting the Dangote Refinery, with all events demonstrating a dedication to collaborative and proactive problem-solving.
“The Honourable Minister emphasised the significance of cooperation and synergy amongst all stakeholders to make sure the success and optimum efficiency of the Oil and Gasoline sector, which is pivotal for Nigeria’s financial progress and power safety,” the assertion learn.
Dangote had on Sunday provided to promote his stake within the Dangote Refinery to the NNPC amid accusations of monopoly within the trade.

This got here after the chief government of NMDPRA made claims that Dangote had requested the regulator to cease giving import licences to different entrepreneurs to be the one gasoline provider in Nigeria.
“We can’t rely closely on one refinery to feed the nation, as a result of Dangote is requesting that we should always droop or cease importation of all petroleum merchandise, particularly AGO and direct all entrepreneurs to the refinery, that isn’t good for the nation when it comes to power safety.
