The Katsina Authorities on Tuesday rewarded a girl, Malama Abdulkadir-Yanmama, with N500,000 for returning N748,320 to the state.
The N748,320 was meant for the Federal Authorities’s Dwelling Grown Faculty feeding programme within the state.
The Govt Director, Katsina State Social Funding Programme Company, Dr Mudassir Nasir, introduced the reward to the lady.
Nasir defined, “She advised us that she acquired an alert with a narration titled cost for distributors who had been offering major college pupils with free meals.
“The girl determined to come back to our workplace as a result of she was not on the register for distributors who present meals for our pupils and he or she was not a part of such a programme.
“We requested for her financial institution assertion and the workplace of the auditor-general verified that she was telling the reality.
“Due to this fact, Governor Dikko Radda directed that she must be appreciated with N500,000, honoured with a commendation letter and provide to take part within the subsequent college feeding programme.”
Nasir added that Radda was pleased with the honesty of the lady.

In his remarks, the state’s Auditor-Normal, Alhaji Anas Tukur-Abdulƙadir, additionally counseled the lady, saying that she deserved extra honours.
