The Division of Agriculture and Land within the Central Area, in collaboration with the Nationwide Union of Eritrean Youth and College students department, organized a workshop on 31 October in Asmara to encourage youth participation in agricultural improvement.
Mr. Asrat Haile, head of Agriculture and Land within the area, highlighted that the Ministry of Agriculture has launched a five-year strategic plan (2024-2028) to advance agricultural initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders. He famous that varied theoretical and sensible coaching packages will probably be organized with Nationwide Union of Eritrean Youth and College students to spice up youth involvement in agriculture.
Mr. Samson Kifle, head of the Nationwide Union of Eritrean Youth and College students department within the area, defined that the workshop aimed to construct the capability and creativity of youth in agricultural improvement, making certain their energetic position within the nationwide financial progress. He expressed appreciation for many who organized the profitable workshop.
Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, chairman of Nationwide Union of Eritrean Youth and College students, urged the youth to strengthen their engagement in these initiatives.
In his remarks on the workshop’s closing, Mr. Arefaine Berhe, Minister of Agriculture, emphasised that this system aligns with the Ministry’s objective of making certain nutritious meals for all and in every single place and referred to as on sub-zonal directors to take a number one position on this effort.
